Life...

i haven't stopped, just resting after a long school year. But i am back with a new and faster computer for doing this and work on a photo series of works for my final year of undergrad. The summer in the city of Toronto is something else, lazy afternoons, bike rides, hikes and friends, i have been taking photos in my spare time of the details of weathering and decay and am getting excited to get back into it. i have also realized that i can print wood blocks by the pressure of a car tire. submissions are an element that i struggle with but am improving on.

Home...

This year i have focused my attention towards the places we occupy; where we live. My interst is based on the elements in life that go unoticed, drawing upon these exploration my works are large scale and often destrote the world around me bring out a essence of life or weathering. This work is somthing i have always thought of in the back of my mind even when i was kid i would also notice the tiny details and pick at them; i plan to further explore this concept of dewlings and develop upon these theroies through into my future works

Loss...

when something terrible happens do you just stand still?

do not dwell upon the past but rather make it postive

take that greif and make somthing of it, emerse yourself within somthing out of your element, and create somthing great that only you can.

These images are from a print portfolio
of my class in 2008/09. I'll never know

Taking notice of the movement towards expansion and housing development in and around the GTA, there is a constant shift in our natural environment. The space for nature to grow freely is becoming less important and there are parallels drawn between the shrinkage of natural land growth and then wild animals that thrive within it. At hand are elements within out natural environment which are not meant to be. The environment is often interrupted by man-made structures and materials; a strange juxtaposition is created though the overlapping of organic and structured elements. Within my body of work i demonstrate the intrusion of spaces by artificial elements; an absence and strange feeling of something being problematic within our world's environment. Reflecting upon my life experiences my work is personal and geared towards the small details i notice that are problematic within the world and the elements and places in which i have explored and am drawn towards.

Nature Series

i completed a series of works during 2008 and 2009 that dealt with the environment and various problems that nature encounters. This is an important issue to me and a great way to express my feelings towards it and to further explore different aspects of nature.
